Overseas Trained Specialists

International Medical Graduates can either be Overseas Trained Specialists or Overseas Trained Doctors

  • Overseas Trained Specialist Pathologists
Overseas Trained Specialist Pathologists  (those international medical graduates who have obtained specialist pathology qualifications in their country of origin)  who wish to work in Australia must contact the Australian Medical Council (AMC) for information about the registration process. The College is unable to enter into any correspondence regarding eligibility until advised by the AMC that an application is proceeding.
  • International Medical Graduates / Overseas Trained Doctors
Overseas Trained Doctors (those who are not yet Specialist Pathologists in their country of origin) who wish to work in Australia and undertake pathology training will also need to contact the AMC and/or the Medical Board of the state in which they wish to practise
