Abnormal involuntary movement disorder. May be post infectious, or genetically based.

Streptococcal serology, IgG Cardiolipin Ab, Antinuclear Ab and Antistreptolysin O titre.

Genetic screening for individual diseases (Molecular genetics - microbial).

Chorea may also be caused by drugs (levodopa, anti-convulsants, anti-psychotics), metabolic disorders, endocrine disorders, and stroke.

 

Wilson's disease
