Appropriate Tests

 

Vitamin C deficiency is now rarely seen, but may occur in infants (especially with child neglect) and in elderly patients.

The possibility of other nutritional deficiencies (especially folate) should be considered.

Full blood count, Vitamin C if confirmation required.
