1 mL CSF in plain tube.

Method:

Immunoassay.

Reference Interval:

Consult pathologist.

Application:

Diagnosis and monitoring of progression of neurological involvement in Leukaemia and Lymphoproliferative disorders.

Interpretation:

Increased CSF levels, relative to serum levels, are found with CNS involvement in Acute lymphoblastic leukaemia and Lymphoma (non-Hodgkin).

Increased levels are seen with severe neurological impairment in Multiple sclerosis.
