Immunoassay for Beta trace protein.

Reference Interval:

< 1.1 mg/L

Application:

Demonstration of CSF in nasal fluid.

Interpretation:

If the specimen contains Beta trace protein > 1.3 mg/L, this indicates that the nasal fluid contains CSF, and that a dural leak must be present.
