The Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia is committed to providing high quality education to its Fellows and Trainees and also to scientists, technologists and other people involved in the Pathology profession. In addition, the College provides education for General Practitioners and other medical specialists, medical students and the general community on the importance of pathology in the practice of medicine.
The College provides this education in a number of ways including its annual Pathology Update conference, courses and seminars, electronic modules/lectures and via numerous publications.
The College also provides a Continuing Professional Development Program (CPDP) for its Fellows, Trainees and Affiliates.
Workplace Vaccination Policy
Organisations are now responsible for taking reasonable steps to prevent unvaccinated people entering their premises. Unvaccinated persons may not enter the RCPA premises in Sydney.
All visitors entering RCPA must provide evidence of their proof of double vaccination by one of the following methods:
- A COVID-19 digital certificate displayed through the Medicare App, Service NSW App, or equivalent smartphone wallet
- Printed version of the COVID-19 digital certificate or immunisation history statement
If visitors are unable to provide evidence of their proof of vaccination, they will be asked to leave the RCPA premises.

Details of meetings and conferences that may be of interest to Fellows and Trainees of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia can be found listed by month or that run over an extended period. Appropriate contact details will be listed for each event.
If you wish to contribute a meeting, please read FAQ - How do I place an event on the RCPA website or email the College webmaster. Please note that the RCPA reserves the right to refuse contributions.
EVENT CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY FOR RCPA EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES
Registration fees. In the event that government travel restrictions prevent your attendance at the *RCPA Educational Activity or the *RCPA Educational Activity is cancelled or rescheduled due to the presence of those restrictions, you will be refunded the full amount of delegate registration fees paid.
Risk and insurance. Registration does not include insurance of any kind and unless required by law, the College will not be liable for any other losses incurred by you as a result of the cancellation or rescheduling of *RCPA Educational Activity including any travel and accommodation expenses. It is strongly recommended that all delegates take out their own travel and medical insurance prior to coming to the *RCPA Educational Activity. The policy should include the loss of any accommodation costs, loss of airfares, medical expenses, loss or damage to personal property, additional expenses and repatriation should travel arrangements have to be altered. Please speak to your travel agent or airline and carefully consider their refund and cancellation policies when making arrangements for attendance at the *RCPA Educational Activity.
*RCPA Educational Activity are RCPA Short Courses, Workshops, Masterclass, Seminar and Conferences run by the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (from May 2020 onwards).
DISCLAIMER (updated July 2021)
RCPA aims to deliver our RCPA Educational Activities face-to-face in 2021 and 2022 where possible. However, due to ongoing Government restrictions, we have contingency planning in place and may be required to transform the Educational Activity into a virtual or hybrid event. Where possible, if you are based in the State hosting the course and restrictions are relaxed, we encourage you to attend in person. Overseas and Interstate delegates may need to register as virtual delegates. At all times, RCPA will be abiding by Government recommendations, including appropriate provisions for social distancing and the use of masks. For these reasons, we strongly recommend booking transferable flights & accommodation in the event RCPA needs to enact a contingency plan.
