Path Update 2021 Platform Information

Pathology Update 2021 is a hybrid conference, this means that delegates are invited on site at the COVID-19 safe International Convention Centre, Sydney. Delegates also have the option to attend virtually.  Presentations will be live streamed through what is referred to as the Path Update 2021 Platform. All delegates will need to access the Path Update 2021 Platform as it will host the Scientific Program, Speaker Biographies, Abstracts, Roche E-Poster Display, Sponsors, Exhibitors, Trainee Prizes, Delegate List, Annual Admission and Awards Ceremony and Notifications. The virtual platform is like the conference room.

When will I receive information on the Path Update 2021 Platform?
The Path Update 2021 Platform will be available to all delegates from Monday 28 June 2021. This will allow all delegates time to get familiar with the platform before the event commences. Final details will be provided to all delegates via an email that will be distributed prior to 28 June 2021. The Path Update 2021 Platform does not require you to download an app, but is accessible through any internet browser on a device of your choice. It is recommended that you bookmark the home page of the platform so that you can return to it easily.

Do I download the Path Update 2021 Platform in the App store?
No. The Platform is accessed through an internet browser.

Do I bookmark it on my device?
Yes, bookmark the platform website for easy viewing.

How do I access the Path Update 2021 Platform as a virtual delegate?

  1. The Path Update 2021 Platform is available to virtual delegates through any internet browser on a device of your choice.
  2. ​When you receive the final access email by Monday 28 June this will contain a hyperlink that you can click on which will open an internet browser on your device and direct you to the correct website
  3. Once you are at the website, you will be required to enter the email address that you registered with OR your mobile number.
  4. If those details match our database of registrants, then a 4 -digit code will be sent to you in an email or a text message. This 4-digit code will be your password and will give you access to the platform. You will be given a new 4-digit code, every time you login.
  5. Once you have signed in you will be able to access all the Scientific Program, live streams, speaker information, etc.
 

How do I access the Path Update 2021 Platform as an onsite delegate?
As an onsite delegate, you also have access to the Path Update 2021 Platform with your registration.   

The Path Update 2021 Platform is available through any internet browser on a device of your choice. It is recommended that you bring a phone or tablet to the conference to be able to view the Scientific Program, Speaker Biographies, Roche E-Posters and Trainee Presentations. 

Details of the Path Update 2021 Platform will be provided in an email to all delegates by Monday 28 June. If you have not received information by Monday 28 June, please email evep@rcpa.edu.au 

Is the Pathology Update 2021 platform device neutral?
The Path Update 2021 Platform is designed around a web site, it is device neutral.
It will operate on both desktop and mobile devices of your choosing. 

Can I use a different device each day?
Yes, you can choose to view the platform on different devices, however simultaneous logins from multiple devices are not permitted. 

Is it the same login each day?
No, the platform uses industry standard Two-Factor Authentication which requires a new code to be generated each time you login. This prevents codes from being shared between people and also ensures that the person trying to login is who they say they are. 

Can I record the speaker presentations? No.

Can I share the link to the Path Update 2021 Platform? No.

Can I attend any session? Scientific sessions: Delegates, including sponsors and exhibitors, can attend all sessions within the scientific stream except for Forensic Pathology and Clinical Forensic Medicine.
Only Members of the College (Fellows, Faculty Fellows and Trainees, Medical and Science students) will be able to attend the scientific streams of Forensic Pathology and Clinical Forensic Medicine both onsite and virtually.  
Media and Non-members are strictly prohibited from attending the scientific streams of Forensic Pathology and Clinical Forensic Medicine both onsite and virtually.

How do I access these live streamed presentations?
1: Once you have logged into the platform, navigate to the Scientific Program within the menu bar on the left side of the screen.




 
2: Once in the Scientific Program, scroll or click to your desired session which will take you to the Session Detail Page:
