When will I receive information on the Pathology Update 2022 platform?
The Path Update 2022 Platform will be available to all delegates from
Tuesday 1 March 2022. This will allow all delegates time to get familiar with the platform before the event commences.
The Path Update 2022 Platform does not require you to download an app, but is accessible through any internet browser on a device of your choice. It is recommended that you bookmark the home page of the platform so that you can return to it easily.
Do I download the Pathology Update 2022 platform in the App store?
No. The Platform is accessed through an internet browser.

How do I access the Pathology Update 2022 platform as a virtual delegate?

The Path Update 2022 Platform is available to virtual delegates through any internet browser on a device of your choice.

When you receive the final access email by Tuesday 1 March this will contain a hyperlink that you can click on which will open an internet browser on your device and direct you to the correct website

Once you are at the website, you will be required to enter the email address that you registered with OR your mobile number.

If those details match our database of registrants, then a 4 -digit code will be sent to you in an email or a text message. This 4-digit code will be your password and will give you access to the platform. You will be given a new 4-digit code, every time you login.
If you have not received the 4 digit code within 2 minutes, please make sure to check your junk mail / spam folder.

Once you have signed in you will be able to access all the Scientific Program, live streams, speaker information, etc.
How do I access the Pathology Update 2022 platform as an onsite delegate?
- As an onsite delegate, you also have access to the Path Update 2022 Platform with your registration.
- The Path Update 2022 Platform is available through any internet browser on a device of your choice.
- It is recommended that you bring a phone or tablet to the conference to be able to view the Scientific Program, Speaker Biographies, Roche E-Posters and Trainee Presentations & E- Posters.

Is the Pathology Update 2022 platform device neutral?
The Path Update 2022 Platform is designed around a website and it is device neutral.
It will operate on both desktop and mobile devices of your choosing.
If you are accessing the platform on a mobile device, please ensure that your speaker volume is turned up and the web stream is not muted when you are trying to view.
Can I use a different device each day?
Yes, you can choose to view the platform on different devices, however simultaneous logins from multiple devices are not permitted.
Is it the same login each day?
No, the platform uses industry standard Two-Factor Authentication which requires a new code to be generated each time you login. This prevents codes from being shared between people and ensures that the person trying to login is who they say they are.
What device should I use to access the event?
You can use a desktop/laptop computer, or a mobile device like a smartphone or tablet.
What browser should I use to access the event?
On a laptop, the best browser to use to access the event is
Microsoft Edge.
On any mobile device, use your preferred web browser.
Internet Explorer is not supported.
Do I need an internet connection to access the event?
Yes, the event requires an internet connection to access.
What do I do if I do not know my password?
Logging in to the event does not require you to remember a password. If you have an active registration, then a One Time Password will be sent to your device each time you login.
I have registered, why can’t I log in?
Double check that the email you registered with is the one that you are logging in with. You can confirm which email address you registered with by locating your Registration Confirmation Email. If you are sure that you are logging in with the correct email address, but are not receiving your One Time Password, contact the event support team on +

Can I attend any session?
Delegates can attend any sessions.
The Forensic Pathology, Faculty of Clinical Forensic Medicine are closed sessions and will be available to Fellows, Trainees, Medical and Science Students only onsite and virtually.
How do I access the live streamed presentations?
1: Once you have logged into the platform, navigate to the Scientific Program within the menu bar on the left side of the screen.2: Once in the Scientific Program, scroll to your desired session and click on the title of the session which will take you to the
Session Detail Page:

Session Detail Page will provide you with key information about that session as well as a button to ‘Launch This Session’. Click this button which will take you into the live stream page.
Once you are at this page, the live stream feed will load in the large window and will start playing automatically.
Top Tips:
- Some browsers prevent auto-play, so you may need to hit the play button
- If viewing on a mobile device, ensure your speaker or headset volume is turned up, otherwise you may not hear any sound
How do I add a Session to My Sessions?
To add a Session to My Sessions, tap or click on Sessions in the menu, and then tap or click on the Add to Calendar icon next to the Session you wish to add to My Sessions.
You can also add a Session to My Sessions directly from a Session Detail page, by tapping or clicking on the Add to My Sessions button.
How do I remove a Session from My Sessions?
Tap or click on Sessions in the menu, then tap or click on My Sessions at the top of the page. You will see a list of the Sessions that you have selected - to remove one from the list, tap the calendar icon at the right-hand side of the Session listing.
You can also remove a Session from My Sessions directly from the Session Detail page, by tapping on the Added to My Sessions button.
What do I do if my video is not playing?
If you are in a Session but the video is paused or is not playing, you can click or tap on the video player frame to reveal the video controls, then click the Play button at the bottom left of the video player.
What do I do if I cannot see the video?
Check that the browser you are using is one of the recommended browsers (refer to ‘What browser should I use to access the event?’ above).
Refresh your browser to ensure that you still have an internet connection (click or tap the Refresh button next to the address bar in your browser and confirm that the page loads again).
What do I do if I cannot hear the video?
If you are unable to hear the video, ensure that your device’s volume is turned up, and that you can see the video stream. Check that your speakers/headphones are in working order by opening another application or web page that plays audio.
Will the video play automatically when in the session?
When you have selected the session, you wish to view from the agenda, please ensure you also select ‘launch now’ to be able to view the livestream. The livestream will not start playing automatically, so please ensure you press play to view the feed.
What is the best internet connection to optimise the delegate experience?
As the Path Update 2022 Platform relies on a consistent internet connection, it is recommended to view the platform on a desktop device with a cable internet connection.
If you are finding problems with pages not loading, or the viewing experience is not as expected, then you may have a slower than average internet connection. Try finding a location that has good Wi-Fi service, or a strong 4G cellular service – this will greatly improve the viewing experience.
