The College received funding from the Department of Health to develop and pilot Internal Quality Assurance Frameworks (IQA) for the morphological and interpretative disciplines, and this was completed in early 2015. The IQA Frameworks contain activities that aim to help monitor performance, drive improvement and support collaborative on-going professional practice.
IQA Frameworks have been developed for all pathology disciplines.
The requirement for Anatomical Fellows to participate in a minimum of 10 hours per annum of peer review activities (Section 1 of the IQA Framework) under Category C of the RCPA CPD Program was introduced from 01 January 2016. This requirement was introduced for all other pathology disciplines from 01 January 2017.
Feedback and queries relating to the IQA Frameworks can be directed to Dr Janet Warner, Deputy CEO at email@example.com.
