Full blood count, White cell count differential, Blood film.

Lymph node usually excision or tissue biopsy (FNAB does not provide tissue architectural detail).

Cell immunophenotyping, Lymphocyte immunophenotyping - diagnosis, classification and prognosis established by histology and immunophenotyping.

Additional diagnostic and prognostic information from Cytogenetics - oncology and Molecular genetics on biopsy specimen: Protein, Albumin, Protein electrophoresis, Immunoglobulins G, A, M, Paraprotein analysis, Lactate dehydrogenase, Beta-2-microglobulin.

Bone marrow aspiration and trephine biopsy for staging and/or diagnosis.
