To predict risk of adrenal failure in patients with polyglandular autoimmune syndrome type I.
Adrenal antibodies are present in 70 % of patients with autoimmune Addison's disease and in < 5 % of those with Addison's disease due to other causes.
May be present in patients with other autoimmune disease.
