Specimen: |
Patient should empty bladder then drink a large glass of water.
Collect urine 1 h later and deliver promptly to the laboratory.

Application: |
Ancillary test, of limited clinical utility, in the investigation of renal tubulo-interstitial disorders.

Interpretation: |
Elevated levels may help to define the degree of tubular dysfunction.
