Investigation of hypersensitivity pneumonitis.
Precipitating antibodies indicate exposure, and may be found in asymptomatic individuals.
In association with appropriate symptoms, the presence of antibodies supports the diagnosis of hypersensitivity pneumonitis due to the specific agent.
