About the Role
This role reports to the Director of Anatomical Pathology and will be responsible for reporting of histopathology and cytopathology, participation in the on-call service, client liaison and teaching duties. Involvement in sub specialty reporting and clinicopathological meetings is required.
Responsible to the Director of Anatomical Pathology for reporting of allocated diagnostic histo- and cyto-pathology specimens within the sites and hospitals serviced by St. Vincent’s Department of Anatomical Pathology, participation in general on-call pathologists’ roster and teaching duties.
Participation in sub-specialty reporting
MB,BS and FRCPA or equivalent recognized specialist qualification
Registration with AHPRA
Demonstrable experience in diagnostic anatomical pathology and demonstrable experience in two or more subspecialty reporting areas, in particular gastrointestinal pathology, breast pathology, medical renal pathology, sarcoma pathology, neuropathology and/or ocular pathology.
Experience in organizing and running multidisciplinary clinic-pathological meetings
Experience at the consultant level in a large tertiary public pathology setting
